I read A GREAT COUNTRY by Shilpi Somaya Gowda on the train from Boston to NYC, which was a pretty good setting for this story about racism, classism, immigration, and family. I was struck by how carefully interwoven all the threads of people’s lives were and it gave me a lot to think about. Highly recommend if you enjoyed books like Little Fires Everywhere or One Two Three.
