The Superior Spider-Man Vol. 3: No Escape
by Dan Slott, Christos Gage
This was Spider-Man's last chance in my pull list. Or it was supposed to be. Just skating by because this volume stood above the rest, I'm willing to give it one more chance.
The thing is, I'm only doing it because of this cheap side story they've been building about the Goblin King. There's some neat stuff here, and certainly better moments than previously, but I was overall more interested in the villains than Peter.
There's nothing to connect with there anymore. He's supposedly becoming practically perfect, to the point that it's ridiculous. I'm actually largely ok with his actions. Kill off some villains makes sense. Though I am glad some folks are finally catching on to his behavior.
The art team remains solid and consistent. The book looks good and is starting to be a better read. Hopefully the trend continues to be upward.
