Cataclysm by Lydia Kang
4.0

Cataclysm builds on phase 2 of the High Republic well. The conflict between different religious sects is certainly a hallmark of Star Wars. This book is no different in that regard. We have internal and external conflict with characters trying to understand the force, how it impacts their lives, and how they impact it.

The military conflicts in this story are gripping. There’s some really cool lightsaber lore. And we get way more Yaddle than most Star Wars stories. I enjoyed this book, but it felt like a chore to read at points. Not my favorite high republic installation, but we’ll worth the read anyway.
