uHuh. Wow. I hated this book. Not for the ending - kinda saw that coming before I got the spoiler, even though it was rather brutal. But the back and forth, the confusion of time lines - it was too much. I couldn't figure out what was going on, couldn't keep track of the 'bad guys' or the 'good guys'. Too many characters, not in Grant County.
And, I never want to go anywhere near Georgia, if even 1 page on this series is accurate, just saying.
But yeah, didn't like this book. Too much Lena, too much drama, too much yuck. Not enough actual mystery.
And it still really, really feels like there's a story missing from before this book started. There are story lines that are just disconnected, and it really left me feeling like I had no idea what was going on. I feel like I not only picked up a book in a series w/out reading the previous, but also like there were 5-6 chapters missing.
