Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader by Anne Fadiman

5.0

This book met its target audience. It’s an ode to books and family, and multiple times had me going, like that old C S Lewis quote, ‘What? You too?’ (with the exception of the chapter on grammar, about which my education was, and I suspect will remain, scanty). It is a compliment to say that you can tell she writes for magazines. These are exactly the style of articles I enjoy, readable and not at all dry for all that they are nonfiction.
