I got this ebook for free a while ago and just never started it. I decided to give it a try and was hooked from the very beginning. I’m actually shocked this is the authors debut novel. Holly is trying to save her half brothers life by donating a kidney to him. She ends up not being a match but gets asked if she wanted to be in a program where she donates her kidney to a family and they donate one to her brother. Of course she’s all for it and ends up meeting the recipient of her kidney, Ben. Seeing their friendship blossom was so cute and knowing that she is going to save his life at the end really warmed my heart. I smiled, blushed and kicked my feet throughout the whole book. I was expecting something absolutely heartbreaking to happen because they normally do in books like this but don’t worry it’s not like that. I loved all the characters and loved how Holly and Ben led different lives but still had so much in common. I’m so happy I gave this book a shot. There is some steam that I wasn’t expecting and of course I welcomed it because duh 🤣 I appreciated the great communication that these characters had. They said what was on their mind and if they didn’t the other called them out on their bullshit. It was perfect! What can I say, Holly & Ben stole my heart!
