Crimson Frost by Jennifer Estep, Miasha, Deja King

This one was, by far the best book in the series.

I loved that Gwen was in the thick of the matter, the eye of the storm, so to speak.

I don’t know why, but in the others books it seems that, even though she is Nike’s champion and of course she has to fight and things are going to happen to her, she seems a bit distant from the main events.

That didn’t happen this time. She was actively fighting, both to prove her innocence and because of the situation with Loki and his champion.

The Protectorate’s appearance really brought something more to the story.

And how delicious Logan’s father (who was a big asshole, by the way) was its head and the one wanting to screw her?

Really, Crimson Frost was hell of exciting.

And can I just talk about the events in the end? Holy freaking cow!

Absolutely earth- shattering! I loved Gwen’s behavior and the choices she made, not only for herself but essentially for the ones she loves.

She finally became a worthy champion, at least in my eyes and I can’t absolutely wait to see what more she is going to do.
