I thought I was ready, and throughout most of the novel I still thought I was ready. The way this trilogy pulls in threads from the full series is slow, deliberate, and impressive, but then final 100 pages really calls back to the first trilogy in ways that absolutely broke me as a reader. Truly a special series.
