Perfect reading when feeling cold in the winter and brain not working whilst I slowly recover from covid. Like a number of other Reachers it is limited by the limits of the character and we always kind of feel there is no longer enough reason for the protagonist to stay till the situation is resolved but we know he will because otherwise he would be unheroic and it wouldnt be that interesting.
I did want more personal stake than I got (he is just there because he is there and risking his life because he hasnt got anything better to do).
