Yikes.
In the beginning. I was very worried the plot was not complex enough to support 3 books (compared to Grishaverse, acotar worlds etc). And I was right!
I felt like the entire story was at a bit of an impasse- very tired of this circular argument around Rhen’s treatment of Grey and the subsequent fall out. Like, enough.
I am bored senseless of Rhen and Harper and I feel like Harper has become a completely flat character who is standing by her abuser. The reviews that say the characters are unrecognizable from book 1 (and 2) are 100% correct. I am tired of all of these characters and how uninteresting they have become.
At 41% through, still almost nothing happened to move the story forward, I would DNF but I want to complete the series. Over 50% of this book is constant repetitive recapping. What happened here???
