Indian Burial Ground

Well written, creepy and sad. This follows two narrators, Louis recalling his past, and niece Noemi in present day. Louis returns to their reservation for the annual pow wow after a long time away. The day he returns, Noemi’s boyfriend is found dead.
This is a story of sorrow, fear, poverty, and ultimately mental health and generational trauma. It’s also another book being touted as horror, and I don’t know if the genre fits. It’s horrific but I don’t know if I feel comfortable calling it horror so much as dark folklore.
