This is textbook the type of novel I love exploring complex family dynamics, intricate relationships between generations, and the enduring effects of past experiences. It’s very well written and it left me wanting more – like knowing how Camille’s life shakes out. I appreciated that it doesn’t take a trauma porn approach to some of the things that happen to characters, the ending was thankfully quite hopeful.
Moderate: Rape
