On the one hand, I think the mythos of the show would have been more impactful without this. On the other hand, people having been begging for answers for 25 years. But I can't help but feel the stuff brought up in this book won't tie into the show, at least the way it's going now.
It's interesting, although the UFO stuff is way too drawn out and a lot of the dialogue is pretty rough.
