Red Sky at Sunrise: Cider with Rosie; As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning; A Moment of War by Keith Bowen, Leonard Rosoman, John Ward, Laurie Lee

4.0

I seemed to remember "Cider with Rosie" as much more idyllic than it was now rereading it decades later. I was a little disappointed. On the other hand, "As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning", which I hadn't read earlier, was a pleasant surprise. What was really surprising was the last part, "A Moment of War", which at least in my mind curiously resembled Alan Furst's pre-WW2 spy novels, which I've read over the last 10 years.
