Did not finish book. Stopped at 41%.
DNFed at 41%

I came into this book expecting a grumpy/sunshine firefighter romance, and all I can say is that is not what I got.  The fact that I got to 41% and they probably had 4-5 conversations and most of them were superficial. Don’t forget he was rude to her, they didn't talk or interact for 2 days.

Usually I don’t mind this because I love instalove/instalust but I need the to MC to actually have a conversation at around 20% and get to know each other. That did not happen.  Mostly their conversations were centered about his daughters or they were spending time with the girls. Very impulsively they kissed the first day they met and creepily he erotically shoved the tip of a beer bottle to her mouth when he apologized for being rude after kissing her.

The worst part, BY FAR, is how he kind of talks about her as if she is a child cause she is too young for him, I think the age gap is 12 years. It just weirded me out and in some books I don’t mind it… but when a book give me the ick it’s hard to forget about the ick.

Did I mention how he bitches about his exwife? All the time.

Oh oh, and I forgot to mention. Like the fact that he knows how to sew is cute, but is that supposed to make me forget he was an ass to her and was an ass to his exwife multiple times.

I guess I’ll keep looking for the perfect firefighter book.  This author is definitely a huge no for me.
