This book is written with very lyrical prose, and I was sucked in like in was poetry. That did make it difficult to pick up on certain plot points, because they got lost in all the imagery). I found the book had a slow momentum that didn't seem to be leading anywhere, so I was a bit taken aback by the climax. Overall, a very engaging read.
