In Praise of Shadows by Charles Moore, Jun'ichirō Tanizaki

informative reflective relaxing medium-paced

It is interesting the idea of submissiveness that is ingrained in the orient desiring to remain in shadows, for fear of any blackness or murkiness being discovered. And is one’s affinity for the shadowful eastern aesthetics today still to be affiliated with prolonging this sentiment? Tbh I agreed with all of the author’s tastes, and it was extremely beautifully written.
