I enjoyed this book but not as much as I thought I would initially. I loved the concept and being a fly on the wall in the therapy transcriptions, however the ending fell short. I felt disconnected from the characters (particularly Greta) in the middle of the book, almost numb, perhaps that was the point idk. I don’t completely understand the infatuation between big Swiss and Greta, especially from big Swiss’s end. It wasn’t love, if anything it was just sad desperate sex with a strange power imbalance. Although Greta was a borderline pathetic character for me I did feel sympathy for her and appreciated her slow character growth towards the end. I loved the continual metaphor to the beehive and the complexity and humour of the characters. Interesting read!
