I don’t normally read mysteries, but I picked this one because I was looking for an absorbing book to read on a train ride. I love visiting art museums and I was interested in the violence against women angle. I did enjoy reading this, and was invested in the resolution of the mystery. The insider info about how a museum runs added some intrigue for me. It didn’t really deliver on the literary value or deeper social critique I normally look for in books, but I’d still recommend it to a friend looking for something to catch their interest for a few days.
