The Last True Poets of the Sea by Julia Drake
4.0
The best synopsis I can give you: “Maybe the real shipwreck we’re looking for to fill a void in our lives is the friends we made along the way!”
Pretty average. Had some good moments but I felt like I was held back from giving it 5 stars because I felt the romance took wayyy too long to develop. The writing was pretty good for YA, but I expected better since the author is a Columbia MFA holder.
Overall, a fun little tale of friendship, the secrets the ocean holds, and being gay in a small town. What’s not to love?
