Moril, Brid, & Dagner travel with their father Clennen the Singer & their mother Lenina. They are originally from the South, but lived up North for a while until their father had an argument with an Earl. There is little contact between the North & the South due to hostilities. They occasionally take passengers on their journeys between the two regions too. The story takes off when Clennen is killed and the children leave their mother after seeing their father's killer in the earldom she has taken them too. An enjoyable story, that includes some ideas to ponder. How well do you know your parents? How people are different and similar.
