The Book of Witching by C.J. Cooke
2.0

I had such high hopes for this book. The switching back and forth timelines when there wasn't a real connection was jarring and annoying. The book yes was revealed to both Alison and Erin who are related but neither really has a happy ending. The cult of triskele even in its heyday seems treacherous and not for kids to join. The fact a little boy created a hex to kill an important man is just cruel and having to watch his dad be crushed by stone and then his mother burned at the stake. Then randomly arlo might have become a raven and following his daughter and girlfriend around? It was not a good plot and there wasn't much of a point to the story. Random characters added but not to enrich the story any. A disappointing book.
