The Brood by Devney Perry, Willa Nash
4.0

I loved the concept of this book.
Iris as a character was absolutely amazing. She felt very unique. She had very realistic struggles. And I loved her energy all throughout the book. And if anyone was going to bring Wilder Abbott out of his shell it was definitely her.
Grumpy grump Wilder was very entertaining. I laughed out loud at him giving his students detention simply because he was in a bad mood. I also loved his change as a character. But he also didn’t change completely which I liked.
The spice was really good! Their was instant attraction between the two of them and you could definitely feel it. I also liked how they slowly helped each other to heal as much as they could.
I didn’t really feel the connection to Calamity with this one though. Yes they were living there and they went to the famous places we’ve come to know and love but I didn’t get the small town vibes as much as I would’ve liked too.
