We did Paleo two years ago and I am not sure if I loved it. It was just "a lot of meat". I was big into juices and smoothies and have written my own best-selling books in that space so I used to swear by my green smoothies. Also I have done all kinds of diet experiments with food - from vegan, vegetarian, Atkins, omnivore, Weight Watchers, and calorie counting. It all seemed like SUCH AN EFFORT but Whole30 is AWESOME!!!! I can't believe I don't miss cheese. I don't think about it. I don't crave it. Or my sweets. Or bread, even the delicious Rosemary bread from Costco. I am loving this new way of eating.

So as to the book, It starts with Food: It gets into the nitty-gritty details of nutrition and science behind Whole30. That part was a bit much for me. I like to understand it at a high level but I was already sold on it when I got the book and I was more interested in HOW to do it. They don't get to the HOW to part until the latter part of the book. We skipped around as we listened but I think I heard most of the book (audio version).
Overall, I am applauding Dallas and Melissa for creating this system and for making it so easy and so accessible. I love the tough love, "You don't like vegetables, well too bad!! As adults, you sometimes have to do things you don't like." :)))!
Great book and GREAT way to get your system cleaned out. Do your Whole30. I am on Day 9 and very VERY happy and satisfied. This book can be the start of a new life for your body and the rest of you!
