3.5 rounded up!

As much as I wanted to like this because the synopsis and tropes called to me, the pacing was slow and that made me so disengaged. We were at 41% and nothing happened pertaining the romance. No hints of attraction, no major dialogue between MMCs, nothing at all but meeting.

Cash was still dating Silas' sister, even if some signs of her being sketchy and not into the relationship anymore were popping up. It was slow to get to the real romance, and it felt like filler that could have been covered in less than 20 pages instead of the 100 it took to tell Silas' history with drugs.

Once the romance really picked up, it was great. I was giggling with the flirting and the tension, and the spice was perfect. The moments of will they, won't they had me biting my lip and having to put down my ebook because I was so excited for them.

But then it went back to being a little slow, with the end right there, it broke up the nice pace we'd gotten, and it went a little downhill in my opinion.

I still enjoyed and had a good time reading this, but maybe as a novella with less intro, it would have been more my cup of tea.

Thank you to Kimberly and Racher, as well as The author agency, for the e-arc!
