good read!! read this because i’m a fan of sims’ other work, the magnus archives, and i was delighted to find this book has the same dark and hooking vignettes. been a while since i’ve read it but i don’t recall any major gripes. some stories were more interesting than others, and some were predictable, but none were badly executed. i found the writing style and suspense building very well done. liked the ending. i don’t have any super strong feelings, as it was not as strong as sims’ other works, but i overall liked a lot!!
