I can’t believe I’m giving a Sally Rooney novel less than 4 stars but man. I just didn’t like Peter, like at all. I was upset every time the narrative switched from Ivan to Peter. I didn’t get into it like her other novels, although I didn’t love Beautiful World, Where Are You the first time I read it either. The writing style is definitely different, and I’m not here for this shift 😭
