Who's That Girl?
by Mhairi McFarlane
My heart! Mhairi McFarlane does it again. I really really loved this book - it was greatly written and it made me laugh and cry. This book is about Edie, who, after having a bad experience at a wedding - where the groom kissed her, she goes back to Nottingham (where she's originally from) to get away from her coworkers (bride & groom) and be a ghost writer for a celebrity. This book is about family, and finding your joy and discovering who you are - as opposed to the face(s) you put on for others. It is about friendships and loves and how people could be truly awful, yet incredibly wonderful at the same time. It is about loss and grief and miscommunications. The characters are incredibly written - I loved all the characters so very much. This is definitely a book for anyone who needs a truly great comfort read.
