Road To Fire
by Maria Luis
* * I HAD BEEN GIVEN AN ADVANCE READERS COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW * *
I am just Raw from the pure emotion that has driven this read. I have been on pins and needles for this book and was not in the slightest disappointed. I don't even know where to begin as a lotto the parts that made me want to just crawl inside this book will give away too much.
If you are an avid reader of my reviews you will know I have special place in my heart for the dark and brooding man who self identifies as a "Broken" man. And Boy Howdy does Saxon fit that to a T. There is just so much about him and how he conducts himself and hold himself that makes you feel for him on many different levels.
Isla is one of my top female characters, easily in the top 3 because she stays true to her cause but knows when to let her heart do the real talking and walking. She is a true definition of a strong female lead and I love the growth and change that came with her and the development that was gradual, you were rooting for her from the very start.
The ground work that was laid for the next instalments of this series just made this book hangover even worse, because I got an ARC which means my wait for book 2 is longer than those getting to it on release day. It means that the book hangover with this one is real and I need something soft and fluffy to get me through the next 24 hours.
This is my high recommendation for 2020! If you love Spies, and mystery and a good old fashion dirty good time, please check this one out, you will not be disappointed!!
