kalah 's review for:
A Crucible of Souls
by Mitchell Hogan
For a book that's supposed to be the best fantasy book to have come out recently, I'm rather disappointed. Chapters were inserted at random points that only partially made sense. The plot was really weak at the beginning and made a strong attempt to save itself before falling on its face in the last quarter of the book. I wanted to give the book up but I was five chapters from the end and had already spent so much of my time reading it that it would be a further waste to not finish it.
