Silent in the Sanctuary
by Deanna Raybourn
3.5 stars really
Started the book wanting to shout "not a love triangle nooooo" but as becomes clear fairly early on, to the reader if not to Julia, it's not a serious issue. By the end, I actually appreciated it because the device kept Julia and Brisbane from pouncing on each other in the way they quite clearly want to. Raybourne is keeping the burn slow. A little lusty in places, but slow.
Once again, the whodunit was easy to figure out. Once again, I don't read these for the mystery so don't really care.
I also really hope we see Mrs. King again. She was quite fun.
