The Tenth Girl
by Sara Faring
*Triggers: sexual assault, abuse, kidnapping.
I was super excited to read this book because of the dark gothic academia setting. It was a weird, twisty and very dark read as the headline promised it would be. But the pacing was a little off for me.
This story was fast paced at first and then about the 60% mark it got super slow and confusing. I thought the twist at the end was unique, unpredictable and gruesome.
While I know this book isn't for everyone, I think if you enjoy dark academia novels that has a curse you would enjoy this book.
*I would recommend reading reviews of Indigenous reviewers as well on their experience while reading this book since there is a fictitious group of people called the Zapuche tribe.*
