Review
I'm glad the author warns you at the start of the book that this is NOT her usual rom-com but more of an erotic romance. The book focuses a lot on the character's past trauma of the MCs, so it's darker and less humorous than her usual books.
That being said, it's still a good book. A great amount of spice! I also liked that Rue seems to be neurodivergent though it's never actually said, which given her background it makes sense she wouldn't be diagnosed with anything. I truly related to and felt for her.
This book will surely give you the feels. The only things I didn't like were the slower pace and that it felt too busy. There was a bit too much going on in the book between work, family, and romance, the book, in my opinion, should have either been longer, to fit everything in, or shorter, and have a storyline cutout. It was somehow busy and slow at the same time.
I would recommend it if you like a heavier romance.
