I will admit, I was skeptical about the romance in this book because Noah Riley was simply too good to be true. I went into this book with the knowledge that there was an
amnesia
storyline, so I assumed the majority of the time (before the incident) that Noah was being so sweet to her to make up for that and
get Ariana to remember him,
but it turns out, he was just that great.

Actually, the most impressive part of this book is that it made me feel strong emotions about the characters and their actions... specifically hatred.
I have never hated a potential MMC so much.
Every time green eyes were mentioned or Chase appeared in a doorway instead of Noah, I physically yelled at my screen. He had every right to be nervous about the brother's feelings about their relationship, but his treatment of her afterward (not to mention his hypocritical jealousy) was soooo uncalled for.

Regarding Noah, I can't help but feel like he constantly got the short end of the stick in their relationship, not because Ariana did anything wrong, but simply because he was placed into so many difficult situations during his pursuit of her, and he just couldn't catch a break.
I found myself outright bawling when they danced to What Hurts the Most (which was never explicitly named, but was definitely the song that fit their situation) because Noah did everything right and simply had to wait for fate to take action.

This story was stressful, infuriating, and hectic, but it was also sweet, romantic, and healing.
I knew I was going to enjoy this book, but I never knew I would enjoy it as much as I did.
