It was one of my most anticipated books on my TBR list and I am actually shocked at how much I loved it. It’s an epic historical military fantasy based on the Second Sino-Japanese War. It has a blend of action, memorable and morally grey characters, vividly- imagined setting and is a look at humanity at its very worst. The book gets very dark so just FYI if you do want to read it. I would highly recommend though!
