I've already seen all the current seasons of True Blood so I decided to take a look at the books. As much as I had heard that the show branches off from the books... I didn't realize how true it was. There are basically all the same characters (minus Tara), but their plot lines overlap and the events are just off enough to make it feel like an episode of Twilight Zone. Basically, these books are a light, fun, take-to-the-beach kind of read. Nothing earth-shattering.
