Hidden Girl: The True Story of a Modern-Day Child Slave by Shyima Hall

2.0

Written for younger readers, repetitive, kinda preachy. Only the first third of the book was about her time in captivity, the rest was about her time in foster care and adulthood. While I dont want to minimize her experience, the "profound realizations" she had are not new nor profound. Also only a handful of characters had names! Less of a novel, more of a memoir
