The Glass Magician
by Charlie N. Holmberg
This is the second in this series that has been occasionally predictable, but consistently enjoyable. The historical setting sometimes feels like an afterthought rather than an intentional choice, but it does enhance the feel of the thing even if it seems like more effort could have been put into the historical aspect. I really love the concept and feel invested in the characters, so I’m glad I picked this up, but while not completely absent, at times I do wish there was a little more depth. I’d give this one 3.5 stars.
