It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey

I loved this story so much! I had seen a lot of people talk about this book for a while. I didn't know what all the hype was, for this fisherman love story, but wow oh wow! I totally get it now! I wasn't sure about Piper in the first couple of chapters but she, and her sister Hannah, very quickly grew on me and I loved how they were unapologetically themselves, wealthy socialites and used to a certain lifestyle, but never acted above anyone else and were kind to everyone they met. They embraced the situation they were in. Captain Brendan, oh my gosh!! Everyone should have to privilege of being loved by someone the way that man loves Piper. I'm obsessed! He was so patient and considerate with her always wanting to make sure she was safe and happy and taken care of.
I also really enjoyed the beginnings of the story of Hannah and Fox, which carries over into their own book, Hook, Line, and Sinker, coming out next year (I already preordered it!). I have a feeling that Fox is going to be exactly my favorite type of character and I can't wait. I really enjoyed the bonus scene of Hannah and Fox at the very end of the book. Thoroughly enjoyed this read, the spice was fantastic, I highly recommend checking this out asap!
