Faye, Faraway by Helen Fisher
1.0
Faye finds an old Space Hopper box in the attic and was transported back in time. She went back in her childhood home, in the year 1977, when her mother was still alive.
I was really looking forward to this book seeing as this was something about relationship with mothers which I always tear up about. I was looking for a tearjerker book and I felt a little let down that I didn't really find it here.
I almost DNF this book I as I found it a little hard to get through. It might be because I am not that much of a fan of the year that she was sent back to. I think it would've been more interesting if she had met her mother the time before she was born, or at least when her mother was pregnant.
I didn't feel connected with this book. On the latter chapters, it was basically tying loose ends from the past when I wish there had been more content about her and her mother because I am really dying to feel that they are really friends.
Still, I liked the thought of the book. This execution was just not really for me.
