This was the perfect book for Halloween. While I’ve never listened to the podcast, I can understand why it became so popular. This is a fantastic collection of folklore, urban legends, and analysis.
The author goes into incredible detail and covers everything from vampires and haunted houses, to creepy dolls and the Mothman. He did his research and explores these strange, haunting myths with amazing prose. I could barely put it down!
While most of these legends were familiar to me on a base level (I’m a huge fan of the paranormal), seeing them explored in exciting new ways completely enthralled me. I learned so many amazing things from so many amazing cultures, and I will absolutely pick up the next books so I can learn more!
A must have for lovers of the paranormal, folklore and culture, and urban legends.
