What was going on... there are so many secondary, tertiary, and quaternary characters that just kept popping up for no reason. I think there were multiple people named Steve. The only reason I read this book is because I own the second book and wanted to start the series. This book makes me feel less inclined to read the sequel, but I did hear the next book is much better. The murder mystery aspect felt predictable but not at the same time. The suspects were somewhat clear but the motives are not apparent at all. I don't know if this counts as a "cozy" mystery, but if it does, it is not my cup of tea.
