The Isle of the Lost

Okay. So clearly it is not the most well written, thought provoking, intellectually stimulating book ever written. However, it’s fun. It’s a quick read that is a nice palette cleanser if you will and I’m happy I read it. I like the descendants film, I love me some cheesy DCOM’s and Kirsten C is in it. And I love her.
I do think it sets up the characters so much more and I loved watching the film afterwards and understanding certain aspects of why the characters are doing what they are doing.
However, at times the writing was stupid. And the whole school bit was very juvenile, I could’ve done without the whole storyline there (selfie class, really? Wtf is that?). Never the less I understand the want to have parallels to them in school in aurdon.
Final summary, if you like Disney and can get over the RIDICULOUS way in which they name their children you’ll enjoy it!
