This is book two in The Fallen Angels series where Jim encounters soul number two to save. A black ops agent named Isaac Rothe and someone that used to work with Jim has gone rouge. when he find himself behind bars he gets to meet public defender Grier Childe and sparks immediately start to fly. Unfortunately things take a turn for the worse and Jim and his boys step in to help and try to save the next soul but there's a turn of events that makes Jim start to question if he had the right person.
Once again this was a great book full of action and suspense. The spicy romance and connection between Childe and Rothe is great. The witty comments from Adrian and Jim had me laughing at times especially when it came to Adrians singing. Its crazy how repulsive Devina is and as we go through the story the more I hate her. Poor Jim and what he had to go through with Devina, that part was a little dark but I guess it shows Jim's training as a soldier, showing his mental strength.The cheating, oh the cheating and the fact that the archangels won't help is frustrating but it builds up the plot more and had me captivated through out the book. The unexpected twist at the end was great it completely took me by surprise and I enjoyed the fact that it was unpredictable. The way the characters fall in love with the bad boys turned good is a little on the cliche side but none the less I like the romance mixed with the action/suspense. I especially love the way all the male characters are sexy and dreamy with a hard edge to them. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
