The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

3.5

For all the high fantasy I've been reading recently, with their political intrigue and complex magic systems, I have to say that it's nice to slow down and digest a simpler story. LWW gets a bit rushed at times (especially at the end), but at the end of the day, it's a children's book. Gotta cut it some slack for the heavy lifting it did to popularize the fantasy genre as a whole.
