Other than the information relating to how the brain processes trauma put in scientific terms I didn't learn anything new from this book. Good for people beginning their mental health journey but for people who already know how to cope with their mental health issues it's not worth the time. I listened to this on audible and I'm glad I didn't spend any money on it, the narrator was stuttering, the audio quality was poor, and there was occasional background noise. If you do end up picking this book up I recommend getting a physical copy instead.
