This book covers the controversial topic of the relationship between genetics and race. The author, who works for the New York Times (so is unlikely to be a secret Nazi-racist), is careful to caveat his book because the whole issue of genetics and race draws an angry response mainly based on the reader's political views. To see this just take a look at some of the reviews that have been posted.

I rated it as three stars mainly because while the topic is interesting and worth understanding there really is not much interesting in the book.
