I can’t believe it took me THIS LONG to start this series, it is god-given. Haven’t obsessed over a dystopian book in soooo long & gosh, now I remember why it was my fav genre for sooo long. Besides that, the writing in this book?! Grammar, words, details, all of those things are things I don’t focus on when reading, but it is so hard to miss here bc it is sooo well-written. Sometimes too much detail gets annoying bc like, I get it after the first mention, I don’t need it to be repeated, but here, it adds something more to the book, and I LIVE FOR THOSE DETAILS!!!!! Omg, the details given over Aaron’s love for Juliette is the best thing I read AND FELT in my entire life. Like chapter 62 is the best chapter ever written, I don’t know how it was possible to feel all human emotion in the span of ONE chapter, but it happened & now I want to go back and re-read that chapter again - will most definitely do it. Juliette has her issues, which is understandable because of her childhood/adolescence but unlike other books that make their “flaws” annoying, all her actions, reactions, etc. make sense & I actually enjoyed reading about her & seeing her grow into herself, excited for the next books. Also worried for Adam because he has too much going on and I don’t think he’ll handle it all in the best way………..butttt excited for more Aaron & Juliette 🥰.
