Non spoiler review :)

I want to start off by saying I loved the writing, especially that it was a 3rd pov!
I’m a 5th yr medical student so reading this book was a different type of joy!

I felt like I was seeing myself in hazel (wanting to become a surgeon while having all these restrictions and obstacles around her) it just resonated with me.

The characters were loveable which is something very important to me. The plot was very predictable but still very fun to read 🥰 it had 3 elements I can never resist 1) magic realism 2) period medicine 3) a girl pretending to be a boy (albeit shortly)

Also, I’m not a romance reader at all so I appreciated the subplot (kind of) romance in this book

I’d recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a quick fun read!
Cant wait to read the sequel 🌟
