I Wish I Had a Nickel (The Sand Dollar Series book 2)

This is the second book that I have read by this author so going into it I knew that it would be beautifully detailed. I knew that the author would explore the characters to an incredible depth so that you feel like you know everything about them and I also knew it would take a little bit of time to get into. I really do not want readers to be put off with the slow pace of the story because it is totally worth it. The incredibly detailed writing of the author pulls you into the story, she makes you feel like you are right there with the characters and you know how you want the story to end.
Alex and Leigh’s story was a real emotional one. From the beginning to the end I desperately wanted them to be together. They had this connection that goes back to childhood and I could really feel that connection coming from them the deeper I went into the story. Alex’s character in particularly was interesting for me, I don’t want to spoil the storyline but it was refreshing to read about a character like him.
Overall another really good read from this author and I am looking forward to the next book in the series!
